What Happened in Poland

2010. Roy, a young Israeli teenager, travels to Poland with his school's delegation. He has two things on his mind; the first, he needs to take a picture of himself in the camp of Auschwitz Birkenau, wrapped with the flag of Israel, next to the hut where his grandfather used to stay during the war. The second - he needs to get laid.

When Roy meets Anna, a beautiful German teenage girl who's going through a similar yet different journey, the story becomes even more complex.

It's a Dramedy (Dramatic comedy) about the impossible attempt to digest the indigestible.

Israeli-Polish co-production.
The project received a development grant from the Israeli Film Fund.
Based on the short film "Auschwitz on My Mind".

2010. רועי, נער ישראלי בן 17, נוסע עם משלחת בית הספר לפולין כשעליו לבצע שתי משימות; האחת - להצטלם עם דגל ישראל באושוויץ, ליד הבקתה בה שהה סביו בזמן המלחמה.

השנייה - לאבד את בתוליו.

אך הדרך לאוושויץ ארוכה, מלאה באתרי זיכרון והורמונים מתפרצים, ובמהלכה רועי פוגש נערה גרמנית יפייפיה בשם אנה שעוברת מסע די דומה והופכת את כל הקלפים.

כשהם תלושים בין צחוק לבין בכי, בין מותר לבין אסור, בין עבר לבין עתיד, ניסיונות החיזור של רועי וחבריו יוצרים סיפור מבדר וכואב גם יחד.

זה סיפור התבגרות, דרמה קומית, על היכולת וחוסר היכולת שלנו להתגבר על פחדים.
